HotRod, the latest addition to CycleAware
's innovative line of high-end safety accessories. The
HotRod is unlike any other flasher array because you can
hide it in your handlebar. Just slide HotRod into the
handlebar in the daytime and pull it out when you want
to turn it on.
The versatile HotRod installs quickly inside
straight mountain or city style bars and offers cyclists
the flexibility of having an LED on their bike for just
the portion of their ride that they want it. HotRod has
forward facing white LEDs and rear facing red LEDs and
six flashing modes.
HotRod is also unique because of its built-in
deflector, which protects the cyclist from becoming distracted
by the blinking light. When activated on both sides of
the bar, HotRods provide a much clearer reference to traffic
both behind and in front (versus a single flashing light
placed in the middle of the bike). The majority of cyclists
don't want to permanently install an LED on their bikes
nor do they want to have to remember to clip an LED on.
Our goal was to design an LED that can be
seen from every angle and that even the most discriminating
cyclists would install on their bikes. "HotRod gives a
cyclist peace of mind -- they know they can always use

HotRod is extremely durable, yet weighs
less than 2 ounces complete with the 2 AAA battery power
source. In addition to being a convenient LED for cycling,
HotRod can also be used off the bike as a portable safety
